We've taken the stress out of having a check bounce or your debit card denied while checking out at a store or restaurant because of a low balance.  With "Bounce Relief" privileges, we'll work with you to take the worry out of returned checks and denied debit cards. Here's how it works.

"Bounce Relief" is available to eligible personal checking account holders in pre-set limits, per type of account. The account must maintain a positive balance once during every 30-day period to continue "Bounce Relief" privileges. The bank will notify you by mail of your overdrawn debit(s) presented for payment, and overdraft fee(s) that have been assessed. 20-day letters will be mailed to remind you the amount of overdrafts, which includes First National's normal overdraft handling fees.  With Bounce Relief, you pay nothing for the service unless you use it.

A $25.00 per item fee will be assessed for each overdraft created by check, in-person withdrawal, ATM withdrawal or other electronic means whether the item is paid or returned. A continued overdraft fee of $2.00 per day will be assessed when your account has been overdrawn for 5 consecutive days. Fees charged for covering overdrafts, as well as the amount of the overdraft item, will be subtracted from any Bounce Relief limit disclosed.Whether your overdrafts will be paid is discretionary and we reserve the right not to pay. For example, we may not pay overdrafts if your account is not in good standing, or you are not making regular deposits, or you have too many overdrafts.
